Emberline — Long Low Altar
Emberline — Long Low Altar
1140 x 310 x 130mm
Kitsune Moon Studio
Long and close to the earth, this altar stretches like a horizon line — quiet, deliberate, elemental.
Crafted from repurposed Australian hardwood, it carries the density and resilience of old growth. The edges have been charred by flame, darkened into a deep ember-black that frames the living grain within. The fire has not consumed it; it has clarified it. A boundary of shadow protecting a core of warmth.
At 1140 x 310 x 130mm, it sits almost at ground level — inviting kneeling, cross-legged mornings, incense smoke drifting sideways in still air. Its proportions encourage slowness. A place for tea bowls, candles, stones, or nothing at all.
The timber once served another life. Now it rests in purpose — repurposed not only in material, but in meaning. What was structural becomes sacred. What was overlooked becomes centre.
This piece does not dominate a room.
It breathes into it.
A low line of fire and earth —
giving your space weight, warmth, and quiet life.
